Love is the answer
The Christian life might be briefly summarized as a life of accepting God’s love, becoming God’s love and communicating God’s love. God is love and as God’s people we are to exemplify and master love before we exemplify and master anything else. Friend…have you known and accepted the wonderful love of God? Believer…how has God’s love changed and energized your life? Christian…how has God’s love been demonstrated in and through you recently?
“I do” – accepting God’s love. “I do”…it is the answer to the question of love’s invitation at the weddings and marriages in our world and in our lives. It is also the answer of the heart of the man or woman of faith who believes Jesus is Lord, Savior and Son! God is wooing our hearts through worship; Word and wonder…have you accepted the love of God? Do you believe the love of God? What might it mean in your life to remove any barrier or resistance to knowing, trusting, receiving and being changed by the love of God?

Ladies: WInGS, your Women's Ministry here at Lakewood, is in need of volunteers! We have several events planned/budgeted for the coming year and are requesting your help in putting it all into action. The first event coming is our bi-annual Sisters in Service (SIS) luncheon this Spring. This event requires a lot of help in order to be successful. Other things to come that we will also need volunteers for are a Women's Retreat and a Christmas party. If you can be a part of our team for these events, please contact Carolyn Huffman at carolynjwc@q.com. The committee appreciates all of your support!

Attention Seniors!! Wanna age successfully?
Did you know that our church, in cooperation with the Denver Regional Council of Governments (DRCOG) is planning for a series of community-wide meetings to better prepare seniors for successful aging?
The meetings will begin in early April, but the services and resources provided by DRCOG are available now! The services are designed to help our ever-increasing population of seniors stay in their homes longer and to age well. The “Network of Care” is a comprehensive, community-based web site created to improve and better coordinate long-term care services for seniors in the Denver metro area.
We at Lakewood now have people trained to match your needs with resources available. Should you wish to explore this potential for yourself, or your aging parent, you may contact Joe and Barbara Hall at 303-278-9976 daily 10 am to 4 pm.
You may also connect with this website yourself at http://www.drcog.org/ then click on ”Area Agency on Aging” on the left menu, then click on “Network of Care” also on the left. Click on the colorful “jelly beans” at the top to begin looking at the array of services available.
