A new year and a new kind of class! Faith Foundations is a class designed to help those who would benefit from a study of basic spiritual principals important for building a stronger and growing faith. The class will be offered on Sunday mornings at 9am in room 2 (off the foyer). It will run longer than a usual Sunday morning adult class lasting a full semester until the end of May. Class members will be asked to take notes and there will be a take home test designed to help us all internalize the things we're learning. The goals of the class this spring will be: to Study the central message of each book of the bible and understand how it contributes to Christian Faith and then to Gain a sense of how each book teaches us about God and His love for us.

Faith Foundations – Bible Survey: January 8 - May 27. Faith Foundations is designed for anyone who wants to study some of the basic foundations of scripture, faith, God and Christian living. The class will last all spring and class members will be asked to take notes and do home reading. This spring’s Bible Survey class is designed to help us understand the seamless story of God’s love for us throughout scripture! Come grow into a more excited, loving, joyful and well rounded believer and follower of Jesus!

Fellowship Hall Class: Finishing the Race – A study of Hebrews

This conference/lecture style class will study a book that speaks to each of us especially those who face unbelief and disobedience. More than any other book in the New Testament Hebrews encourages us to stand firm in our faith. For teacher Kim Natale, there is a particular fascination with the book because it is unusually difficult to understand. Join us in exploring a seldom-studied book where we will discover many treasures of spiritual wisdom that will aid us in our goal of remaining faithful to God.

The Art of Manliness – A class for teen and pre-teen boys (6th grade) and men

The leadership at the Lakewood Church believes that Christian men hold the key to the attributes that transform boys into Godly men. We also believe boys are anxious to be affirmed in their quest for manhood. To this end, we have created a unique event called “The Art of Manliness.” It is a multigenerational class designed for the men of the Lakewood church to create a rite of passage that will help young teen boys understand and own the real duties and calling of Christian manhood.
