Lakewood Church of Christ

Discovering Lakewood is a one-hour class that is offered to all new members and interested visitors where they can get acquainted with just what Lakewood CC is all about. It is not a class to debate or disagree but a class to share information with you in regards to how God works through the members at Lakewood. After going through this class you will not have any doubt or questions about where we stand in regard to serving our Lord.

The class begins with some stories about the history of the Lakewood church, talk about our respect for the Church of Christ heritage, and that Lakewood draws from an area wide portion of the city of Denver. In the class we talk about our Shepherds, why we have Shepherds and the strategy of these spiritually driven men. Other important topics are our core values, an explanation of our Home Churches & Shepherding Circles and why it is important to become a part of these groups.

A discussion of our Mission/Vision statement, Special ministries and Mission information, and most important Membership in the Lakewood CC. This is the time where we discuss what is expected of a member and our statement of belief.
